How to Check IPO Allotment Status Online (PAN, BSE, NSE)

Updated 20 Oct 2026 · 2 min read

After an IPO closes, the registrar decides who gets shares. This is called allotment. Here is how to check whether you got shares, in about two minutes.

When can you check?

Allotment is finalised one working day after the IPO closes. The status usually comes out in the evening of the allotment date, and sometimes the next morning. Find the allotment date of every recent IPO on our IPO allotment status page.

What you need

Any one of these: your PAN, your application number (in your broker app or bank statement), or your demat account details (DP ID and client ID).

Method 1: the registrar’s website

Every IPO has a registrar, a company that handles the applications and the allotment. Well-known registrars include KFin Technologies, MUFG Intime India (earlier Link Intime), Bigshare Services, Skyline Financial Services and Cameo Corporate Services. Each IPO’s page on Latest IPO names its registrar and links to the right page.

  1. Open the registrar’s IPO allotment page.
  2. Choose the IPO from the list.
  3. Choose PAN, application number or DP ID/client ID, and enter it.
  4. Fill in the captcha, if there is one, and submit.
  5. You will see how many shares you applied for and how many you got.

Method 2: BSE

  1. Open BSE’s “Status of issue application” page.
  2. Choose “Equity” and pick the IPO’s name.
  3. Enter your application number and PAN, and submit.

Method 3: NSE

NSE has an IPO bid verification page. Choose the IPO and enter your PAN and application number.

Method 4: your bank and demat account

What does “not allotted” mean?

When an IPO gets more bids than shares, retail allotment is a lottery: each winner gets one lot. Not getting shares is common in popular IPOs. It does not mean anything was wrong with your application, and you don’t need to do anything: the money is released on its own. Read how IPO allotment works.

Frequently asked questions

Can I check IPO allotment status with only my PAN?

Yes. On the registrar’s website, choose PAN, enter it and pick the IPO.

How soon is my money released if I don’t get shares?

Usually the working day after allotment. If it takes longer, contact your bank or the registrar.

Why does my status say the application was rejected?

Common reasons are more than one application with the same PAN, a UPI mandate that was not approved in time, a PAN that does not match the demat account, or a bid outside the rules of the category.
